The Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their Preliminary Examination, Main Exam, Group Exercise, and Interview. Candidates are required to apply online for SBI PO 2023 by using the website https://bank.sbi/careers/current-openings.
State Bank of India will arrange Pre-Examination Training (PET) in online mode for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India. All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the online application. Candidates opting for pre-examination training should download their Call letter for training from the Bank’s website in 1st week of October 2023 onwards. SBI PO Salary
The Salary of SBI PO for selected candidates in starting basic pay is 41960 with 4 advance increments. The Probationary Officer Salary will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributed Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility, etc. and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.

SBI PO Age Limit
Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years for this job. Relaxation in the upper age is applicable for SBI PO Age Limit as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates (SC/ST-5 Years, OBC-3 Years).
SBI PO Exam Pattern and SBI Po Exam Syllabus 2023
SBI PO Probationary Officers will be selected through a three-phase process.
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Comprise of (i) Psychometric Test (ii) Group Exercise & (iii) Interview
Phase 1 – SBI PO Prelims Syllabus and SBI PO Prelims Pattern
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows.

Phase 2 – SBI PO Mains Syllabus and SBI PO Mains Pattern
The main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer. The SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern is as follows.
a. Objective Test: The duration of the objective test is 3 hours, and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

There will be a Penalty (Applicable to both – Preliminary & Main Examination) for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Phase 3 Comprise of (i) Psychometric Test (ii) Group Exercise & (iii) Interview
Psychometric Test: The Bank will conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase 3. Finding of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a thorough perspective on the candidates.
FINAL SELECTION For SBI PO 2023
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase 2 and Phase 3 separately. The marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase III for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection.
