Staff Nurse Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification for GIMS Staff Nurse Vacancy 2023

1. B.Sc Nursing (4 years course) from an Indian Nursing Council / Medical Faculty recognized Institute or University or B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (2 Years Course)
2. Registered as Nurse & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council
or
1. Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (G.N.M) from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized Institute/ Board or Council
2. Two Years experience in a minimum 50 bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned
3. Registered as Nurse & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council
Age Limit For GIMS Staff Nurse Vacancy 2023
Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years for Staff Nurse job as on 1/7/2023. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates (SC/ST-5 Years, OBC-3 Years).
GIMS Staff Nurse Exam Pattern and Syllabus
- The language of examination will be both English and Hindi
- An Online Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted for the post of Staff Nurse. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be of 02 hours duration and carry 100 marks
- There will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- 80% of questions will be related to the Theory of Nursing Knowledge
- 20% of questions will be related to the practical application of Nursing ( of these 10% will be related to COVID-related work)
- There will be no negative marking
Selection Process For Staff Nurse
The selection of Staff Nurse will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) only. Minimum qualifying marks of Computer Based Test (CBT) for the post will be
- 40% for – UR, EWS
- 35% for – SC, ST & OBC
Final Merit List for Staff Nurse
The final merit list for Staff Nurse will be prepared ONLY based on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT), for all categories (i.e. UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc) separately and rank will be awarded to all qualified applicants. While preparing the selection list for the Unreserved category, all applicants (including those from the reserved categories) will be taken into consideration, but while preparing the selection list for a reserved category, only applicants of that category will be taken into consideration. The same method will be applicable in all reserved categories.
Resolution of Tie
In cases where more than one candidate for Staff Nurse secures equal marks, the tie will be resolved as follows
- First by using the date of birth, older candidate placed higher
- If not resolved by the date of birth, it will be resolved by the number of wrong answers
- Total marks in the core section of the examination conducted
- Application No. of the candidate
