Academic Qualification
- Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University
- Bachelcs of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 45% marks in aggregate or its equivalent with relevant teaching subject

Two years integrated M.Sc. Ed. Course or an equivalent course of Lecturers in Science Subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Physical Education
- M.A. in Physical Education with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University
- Bachelor of Education Degree recognized by NCTE with at least 45% marks in aggregate or its equivalent

Master in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate

A written test consisting of Multiple-choice questions will be conducted as under.

- Minimum qualifying marks for each part (Part A and Part B separately) will be 40%
- Negative marking will be applicable and a deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong answer
- Questions in the test for Part B will be based on the relevant subject and the difficulty standard will be as per the qualification mentioned in the advertisement. Detailed topics/syllabus will be uploaded on the website before notification of the schedule for the written test
- Examination questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the Language papers which will be in the concerned Language only
- The medium of examination of Part -B for the post of lecturers in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics will be in English only
Selection Process For Chandigarh PGT Recruitment 2023
Selection will be made purely on the basis of merit in the written test subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions and simply appearing in the written test does not give any right to the candidate for appointment. As such, candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill eligibility conditions for the post applied.

- In case two or more candidates have the same marks in written test then a candidate B.Ed will rank higher in the merit (for academic stream Lecturers)

- A list of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test (Part-A, Part-B). The final merit list for selection will be released after checking eligibility conditions and ICT skill training certificates
