Assam Police Recruitment 2023:- The government of Assam invites online applications to fill up vacancies in the Assam Police, DGCD, APRO, etc. A total number of 5563 posts have been identified to be filled up for the posts of SUB Inspector, Assam police Commando, Constable, Driver, Boatman, Nurse, Teacher, and Grade IV staff (Cook, Barber, Plumber, Safai Karmachari, and Dhobi). The Online Registration for Assam Police New Vacancy 2023 shall start on 15/10/2023 and shall close on 1/11/2023.
Candidates must apply online for the Assam police recruitment 2023 using the State Level Police Recruitment Board of Assam SLPRB website https://slprbassam.in/. Assam Police Salary
Selected candidates for Assam Police will get a salary of Rs 14000-60500 per month plus Grade Pay plus other Allowances, as admissible under the rules.
Assam Police SI Salary is Rs. 14000- 60500/- (Pay Band No.2) plus Rs. 8700/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances, as admissible under the rules.
Assam Police Constable Salary and Assam Police Commando Salary is Rs. 14000- 60500/- (Pay Band No.2) plus Rs. 5600/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances, as admissible under the rules.
Eligibility For Assam Police
- Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam

Assam Police Age Limit

Educational Qualification For Assam Police

Educational Qualification for Sub Inspector and Sub Inspector Commando
The Candidate must be a Graduate in Arts/ Science/ Commerce or an equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institution affiliated with a recognized University.
Educational Qualification for Constable Apro and (Hills Tribe Category)
- Constable (UB): H.S.L.C or Class XII passed from Govt. recognized Board
- Constable (AB): H.S.L.C or Class-X passed from Govt. recognized Board.
- Constable (Commando): HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council
- Havilder: HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and NCC ‘B’ Certificate
- Boatman: Passed HSLC or equivalent examination under any Govt. recognized board and Proficiency in swimming
- Driver: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV
Educational Qualification for Assam Police ADC and CDC
- Minimum HSLC Passed from a Board recognized by the Govt.
- Pass Certificate of Instructor Course from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur/NDRF Academy, Nagpur
- Pass Certificate of Elementary Fire Service Training or any other advanced Civil Defence Course from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur, or any other institute recognized by the Govt. of India.

Physical Efficiency Test For Assam Police New Vacancy 2023
Assam Police Sub Inspector and Constable PET
The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events viz
- 1600 meters race for Male Candidates and 800 meters race for Female Candidates
- Long Jump – for Male 335 cm (minimum) and for Female 244 cm (minimum), 3 chances (longest valid jump will be considered)
Assam Police Sub Inspector Commando and Constable Commando PET
The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 80 marks (for Male)/ 60 marks (for Female). It will have FOUR events for Male and THREE events for Female.
Male Candidates
- 4.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to a 4.8 km race to be completed within 20 minutes
- Long Jump: Minimum 365 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks)
- Chin Up 10 times is for qualifying
- 100-meter Race. To be completed within 15 seconds
Female Candidates
- 2.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 2.8 km. race to be completed within 9 minutes
- Long Jump: Minimum 265 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks)
- 100-meter Race. The race to be completed within 18 seconds
